Lori E. Hunter
Eiler-Hunter – Lori Irene, died Saturday May 7, 2011 after a six-year battle with brain cancer in her home in Ardsley, New York. She was 52 years old. Lori was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on March 25, 1959. Raised in Montana and Ohio, Lori settled in Ardsley, New York in 1994 to raise her family. In short order she became active in the community. Lori was one of the founding members of the Open Space Committee and the first volunteer for the village's parks and recreation department. Lori organized movies and concerts in the park, ice-cream socials and various holiday celebrations at the community center. Lori was also a member of the villages planning board and helped to introduce new requirements for building on steep slopes. Lori loved a good story told in a book or by a friend. She was a collector of people and surrounded herself with friends and family to celebrate life every day. Her husband Art, son Max, daughter Alexandra and her two brothers Jack and Tim Eiler survive her. Funeral Service Wednesday 10AM Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home 64 Ashford Avenue Dobbs Ferry, NY.
