George S. Hayeck
George S. Hayeck, 67, of Lower Gwynedd, died on September 23, 2009 at Abington Hospice at Warminster. He was the beloved husband of Louise M. (Harmer) Hayeck for 44 years. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ on December 8, 1941 to the late George S. and Esther (Infantino) Hayeck. George was a graduate of Cranford High School in NJ and attended Fairleigh Dickenson University. He was employed as Executive Director of the Community Ambulance Association of Ambler for 2 years and a Township Supervisor in Lower Gwynedd Township for 12 years. He was the former owner and operator of Hayecks Café in Maple Glen for 13 years. During that time, he formed the Maple Glen Business and Prof. Assoc. and the Maple Glen Village Assoc. Prior to the restaurant business, he was Assistant Vice President of Human Resources for Liberty Mutual. George was a member and Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Ambler; he chaired the Lower Gwynedd Country Picnic for 8 years; he served on the Board of Celesta Performing Arts and the Bethlehem Pike Improvement Committee; and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Ambler. In addition to his wife Louise, he is survived by 3 children: Sara Moylett and husband Michael of Honey Brook, PA, George T. Hayeck of Lansdale, PA, Garry T. Hayeck and wife Kari of Germantown, MD, 9 grandchildren: Stephen, Jennifer, Nicole, and Lauren Moylett, Meghan, Brett, Madison, Gillian and Mackenzie Hayeck, a brother Frederick Hayeck and wife Deborah, a sister Carole Brown and husband Bud all of Cranford, NJ, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
