Joe S. Glover
Funeral services for Joe S. Glover, 65, of Alba, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009, at Round Flat Pentecostal Church in Fruitvale with Bro. Homer Morgan and Bro. Ronald Ivey officiating. Burial will follow at Brigham Cemetery near Campbell under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point. He passed away early Tuesday morning, August 25, 2009, in a Dallas hospital. Joe was born August 1, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, the son of William Marion Glover and Mary Luchese Glover. When Joe was around six years old his mother passed away and his half sister, Vera Mask raised him. On June 28, 1963, he married Dianna Fleenor in Dallas. Joe was a self employed painter. He enjoyed training horses, raising chickens and fishing. Joe lived in Mesquite prior to moving to Alba ten years ago. He was a member of Round Flat Pentecostal Church in Fruitvale. Preceded in death by his parents, William Marion & Mary Glover and Vera Mask; seven brothers, Donnie Glover, Garland Shelton, Leslie Glover, Gordon Glover, J. T. Glover, Bud Glover and Jim Glover and a sister, Elsie Greggs. Joe is survived by his wife, Dianna Glover, of Alba; son, Bobby Glover & wife, Deborah, of Alba; two daughters, Tammy Jones & husband, Jerry, of Rowlett and Tina Myers, of Garland; brother, Marion Grindle, of Rowlett; four sisters, Mattie Anderson, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rose Mary Keener, Nell Burns, of Houston and Frances McMahan & husband, Cliff, of Midlothian; seven grandchildren, Darrell Johnston, B. J. Glover, Angela Vasquez, Carrie Wilson, Sheree Williams, Randall Hitt and Aaron Hitt; three great-grandchildren, Sawyer Williams, Penelope Williams and Aiden Vasquez and mother-in-law, Eula Fleenor, of Wills Point. Pallbearers: Bobby Glover, B. J. Glover, Aaron Hitt, Randall Hitt, Darrell Johnston and Keith Williams. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening 6:00 – 8:00 p. m.
