Marian A. Chavis
HAMILTON - Marian A. Chavis passed away Saturday at Mercerville Center, Hamilton. Born and raised in Hamilton, she was a lifetime resident. Marian retired in 1979, after 35 years as an administrative assistant with the State of New Jersey Division of Community Affairs, Trenton. She was a member of Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church, Hamilton, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Bordentown. Daughter of the late William A. and Florence M. Millburn Sharp, and wife of the late Claude Chavis, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Eleanor Sharp, her nieces and nephews, Sandy and Gino DiPierro and children Danielle and Mary Rose, Denise and Jennifer Appleton, Linda and Joseph Teresky and children Michael, Nicholas and Maressa, Thomas and Linda Appleton and children Kyle and Brielle, and Jeff and Joyce Delahanty and children Carley and Chase, and other extended family. Funeral and interment in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, are private. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 23) at Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church, 71 Pearson Drive, Hamilton. Memorial contributions may be made in Marian's honor to Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church, 71 Pearson Drive, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
