Clifford James Mosley, Jr. Nov. 6, 1951-Sept. 10, 2013 Resident of Soquel Clifford Mosley, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2013 at Dominican Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was 61. Clifford was born on November 6, 1951 in Santa Cruz, the son of Clifford J. Mosley, Sr. and Patricia (Foerster) Mosley. He grew up in Santa Cruz attending local schools and was a graduate of Santa Cruz High School. Following high school he served in the Army Reserves for six years. He was a general contractor working in all fields of construction for 45 years. He also worked on a number of projects for Maynard Manson at Wave Crest Development. He enjoyed using his creativity through his carpentry and masonry work. He also commercially fished for King Salmon in Alaska with his father in law, Vince Cardinale. Clifford was a member of the Mustang Club and loved to race his 1969 Mustang Mach I. His family said "this man loved his toys". Cars, trucks and riding his Harley were all passions of his. He was an avid San Francisco Giants and Forty Niner fan. He enjoyed restoring equipment, bowling, playing darts and Coca Cola. He was an accomplished water skier and his favorite place to visit was Kona, Hawaii. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Caterina Cardinale Mosley; son, Clifford J. Mosley, III; daughter, Christina Mosley; grandson, Anthony Torres; mother, Patricia (Foerster) Mosley; father, Clifford J. Mosley and his wife, Margaret; sister, Susan (Mosley) Buri and her husband, Gregory; brother, Dustin Mosley and his wife, Kristina; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marie and Ernie Fortino, Frank and MaryJo Cardinale, Joe and Jonnie Cardinale and Anthony and Debbie Cardinale. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vince and Victoria Cardinale. A memorial service will be held at First Congregational Church, 900 High St., Santa Cruz, CA on Saturday September 21, 2013 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow in the church's fellowship hall.
