Wilma L. Butler POHATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ Wilma L. Butler, 89, of Pohatcong Township, NJ, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, in the Phillipsburg Center. Born Aug. 5, 1929, in Springtown, NJ, Wilma was the daughter of the late William L. and Alice M. (Carling) Gardner. She and her husband, Myron, were married May 27, 1978. She was employed by Warren Hospital as a clerk in the medical records department before her retirement. Wilma was a caregiver to her family, friends, and neighbors. She did crafts, oil and acrylic painting, sewing, crossword puzzles, and baking. She also enjoyed car shows. She was a life member of United Presbyterian Church in Alpha. She was also past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Huntington Fire Company. In addition to her husband, Wilma is survived by a daughter, Lisa Y. Rush DeHart; brother, William E. Gardner and wife, Ginny of Belvidere; and sister, Shirley A. Pfeiffer and husband, Roy of Holland Township. She was predeceased by a son, Mitchell E. Rush, and a son-in-law, Edward, and a sister, A. Marie Doyle. Funeral services will be held at a later date this spring and will be announced. Arrangements are being handled by Doyle-Devlin Funeral Home, Inc. in Phillipsburg.
