Willie Patterson
Willie Patterson, born Aug. 5, 1934 in Montgomery, Alabama, son of the late Rev. James H. (Grant) Patterson and Georgia Bailey Patterson and the husband of Mildred Patterson of Smyrna, went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 30, 2018, after a lengthy stay at Tuskagee Veterans Administration Medical Center in Alabama. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cheswold. He lived a full and wonderful life, had a large devoted and loving family unit; three daughters and one son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was a veteran, having served in three branches of the military over his lifetime, retiring in 1989 from working in the Department of Defense. Funeral arrangements are in progress through Ross Clayton Funeral Home in Montgomery, Alabama and Arlington National Cemetery, and will be forthcoming in a timely fashion. [John 3:16] "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
