William Woodford Claypool Jr.
William Woodford Claypool, Jr. Nashville - William Woodford Claypool Jr, 82, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Bill was born in Nashville and attended Duncan Preparatory School, Battle Ground Academy and Tennessee Technological University, where he received a Degree in Industrial Technology and was a member of the ROTC. His knowledge of small engines and his gift for conversation led Bill to a long career in Sales which included the Bill Voorhees Company, Engine Power Corporation and Nashville Door Closure, which he Co-Owned. A fierce love of the Lord led Bill to a life of service. He was a dedicated member and deacon at Woodmont Baptist Church. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Claypool Sr, mother, Martha, and first wife, Frances Jones Claypool. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rose Flowers Claypool; son, William Claypool III (Marijo); daughter, Karen Claypool; stepchildren, Robert Flowers, Beth Flowers Taylor (Marc) and Rebecca Flowers Teague (Gil); grandchildren, Cody (Candice), Lillie, Rosemary (Brett) and Philip; great-grandchild, Noah. A Memorial Service will be held at Woodmont Baptist Church in the Chapel on Sunday, May 26th at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Woodmont Baptist Church Mission Fund.
