William E. Ryker Sr. HARMONY TOWNSHIP, NJ William E. Ryker Sr., 70, of Harmony Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on Feb. 8, 2019. Born on Sept. 7, 1948, in Newton, NJ, he was the son of the late Ellwood and Frances Rude Ryker. Bill was employed by the Stillwater Township Road Department as a supervisor. He was a United States Marine, serving in the Vietnam War. Bill was an avid fisherman and hunter; he just had a love for the outdoors. He loved his dogs, his gun collection, enjoyed spending time with his family, loved eating sweets and enjoyed his trips with his wife to Maine. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Barbara Ryker, Carol Green and Richard Ryker. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Gail Taylor Ryker; his children, William E. Ryker Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Coopersburg, PA, Sean Ryker and his wife, Jennifer, of Long Island, NY; his stepchildren, Rechel Senger and her husband, Bill, of Pittstown, NJ, Brandi Stettler and her husband, Erik, of Holy Ridge, NC, and Beth Bruckman and her husband, Dana, of Harmony Township, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandon, Jenna, Chad and Brett Bruckman, Jonathan Stettler, Hannah, Peter, Ashley, Hailey and Emily Ryker. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, from 1 to to 3 p.m., in The Finegan Funeral Home, 302 Heckman St., Phillipsburg, NJ, with a service to follow at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Bill to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave., Newton, NJ 07860.
