OXFORD, William William Franklin "Bill" Oxford of Irving, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia passed away on Wednesday June 5, 2019. He was born October 6, 1935 in Kaufman County, Texas to William Franklin (Frank) Oxford and Ruby Vick Oxford. He graduated from North Texas State College in 1957 and then obtained a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Houston in 1962. He practiced pharmacy for over 40 years in Texas. He married Jeanette Parks of Denton in 1956. They later settled in Irving where they raised children Wendy and Todd. Bill co-owned and operated Royal Pharmacies in Irving for over 25 years. He served as President of the Dallas County Pharmaceutical Society and was a member of the Texas Pharmacy Association and the American Pharmaceutical Association. Bill was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting, camping, and especially sailing. Bill is survived by former wife Jeanette Parks Oxford of Irving, son Todd Oxford of Austin, daughter Wendy Turner and son-in-law Harold Turner of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by grandchildren, Madeleine and Austin Turner, and his aunt Alma Fay Vick Hargrove of Mesquite, Texas. Other survivors include dear nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held in Irving, Texas on Friday, June 14th at 10:00am at Ben F. Brown's Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd. Interment will be at College Mound Cemetery in Terrell, Texas.
