William A. Leader Longtime Morris Plains resident and active member of the community William A. Leader, 78, a 50-year resident of Morris Plains, N.J., passed away on June 9, 2018. Visitation will be held at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, N.J. 07950, on Tuesday, June 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 13, at Resurrection Parish, 651 Millbrook Ave., Randolph, N.J., at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown, N.J. Bill was born in Newark, N.J., to Herbert and Therese Leader on Aug. 14, 1939, and grew up in Hanover Township, N.J. He graduated from Madison High School in 1957, and immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force. He then went on to earn a B.S. degree from Fairleigh Dickinson in 1974. He began his career in accounting with Beneficial Finance Corporation and retired as controller from Suburban Propane in 1994. Bill was an active member of the community, serving as treasurer and coach of Morris Plains Little League and Eucharistic minister at Resurrection Parish in Randolph, N.J. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with family. Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joanne, and three children, William and wife Tammy, and two grandsons, Zachary and Nicholas of Netcong, N.J.; Robert and wife Rebecca of Mount Arlington, N.J., and Thomas and partner Michael Farrell of New Paltz, N.Y. He is also survived by a sister, Virginia McGuirk and her husband, James, of Lincoln, Calif.
