Wilda Mae Svoboda
Wilda Mae Svoboda 82, of Bradenton, Florida, went to be with her Lord on September 6, 2018. Wilda was born in Canton, Ohio on February 14, 1936 to the late Leland and Nova (Tope) Steiner. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954, and Muskingum (College) University in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Most of Wilda's career was spent teaching at high schools in Ohio and Florida, retiring from Manatee High School. Wilda was a member of Braden River Presbyterian Church and served in various capacities including Secretary and Elder. Wilda was an expert crafter and seamstress, and always had various projects in the works not only for family and friends but she also donated her handiwork to various charities. She enjoyed her family and friends and had a gift of hospitality. Wilda is survived by her daughter, Debbi (Staats) Lamont; son Lee (Karen) Staats; grandchildren, Martin Lamont, Kendra Rogers, Cameron Rogers, Casey McCalister, (Brien) Cody Lamont, Megan Staats, great grandchild Madison Rogers and many other cousins and relatives. Wilda is preceded in death by her husband Larry Svoboda and son-in-law, Jake Lamont. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Braden River Presbyterian Church, 5150 Peridia Blvd E, Bradenton, FL 34203. Memorial contributions may be made to Braden River Presbyterian Church.
