In memory of
Wendy Lynn Coombs
Wendy Lynn (Beavers) Coombs, 65, of Camp Hill, passed away October 24, 2019, three days shy of her 66th birthday. She was born on October 27, 1953, at Hershey Hospital the daughter of the late Ethel Dell. Wendy graduated from Palmyra High School (1971) and Lock Haven University (1975) with a degree in Education and French. She worked in the health insurance industry holding senior executive positions with Capital Blue Cross and Pennsylvania Chamber Insurance. Wendy was an extraordinarily kind and compassionate caregiver to her loved ones, whether family or friends. If something happened everyone knew Wendy would be there, whether as a shoulder to cry on or to take care of any needs. Her kindness remained a constant, even after her illness took hold. She had the biggest and most contagious smile. She loved people, her pets (especially her dogs), dancing to Rod Stewart, a good Snickers bar, and her morning coffee and book. She enjoyed being outside in her garden, sunning by the pool (or anywhere else, including rooftops), and taking long walks. She threw the best parties and always made sure they were inclusive of everyone. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wendy's memory to the Alzheimer's Association( www.alz.org ). This horrid disease robbed Wendy of many things but one of the hardest is that she never had an opportunity to know her lovely granddaughters. She would have showered them with her love. We can only hope that more attention gets put towards finding a cure for this awful disease. A private gathering was held on her birthday, October 27, 2019, to celebrate her life. There will be no public service.
