Wade Milam
Wade Milam, 83, of Georgetown passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the home of his son. Wade was born in Crumpler, West Virginia, the son of the late Wiley and Rachael (Burks) Milam. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard. He was a maintenance worker for Perdue. After he retired, he owned and operated Milam Well Drilling. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Mitchell; and brother Claude Milam. He is survived by his wife, Mary 'Lee' (Wyatt) Milam; two children Timothy Milam of Georgetown and James Perry Milam of Bridgeville; 2 sisters Edith Boyce of Seaford, and Helen Caulk of Milford; brother Hoby Milam of Georgetown; 5 grandchildren, Shannon Stowers, Tony Milam, Erica Milam, Danny Milam and Sara Milam; two great-grandchildren, Andrea and Gavin Stowers. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday January 27, 2016 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, De 19947 where friends may call after 12 noon. Interment will be at McColley's Chapel Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or donations in Mr. Milam's memory can be made to: Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Rd., Georgetown, DE 19947.
