Verna Jewel Woodhall
Verna Jewel Woodhall, born Verna Jewel Hope on April 26, 1923, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018, in Roseville, CA, at the age of 95. Verna will be lovingly remembered by her surviving family-her three children, Paul (Doyce) Woodhall, Marsha (Raimo "Ray") Patja, and Larry (Elaine) Woodhall; her eight grandchildren, Julie Walter, Timothy Patja, Paul "Woody" Woodhall, Nathan (Aimee) Woodhall, Kevin (Janae) Patja, Matthew (Melisa) Woodhall, Joshua Woodhall, and Jennifer (Sterling) Patja Howell; her seven great-grandchildren; her three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Margaret Feltis, Bessie (Woodhall) Dick, and Della Woodhall; her brother John Hope; and her husband Angus Woodhall, her partner of 41 years and love of her life. Verna was a 33-year resident of Lincoln, CA. She loved her family and all children, had a voracious appetite for reading and sweet onions, and possessed a smile and a way of saying "Hi, honey," that could light up any room and brighten any mood. Memorial details will be announced to family and close friends at a later date. Her ashes will be laid to rest at Roseville Cemetery alongside her dear Angus.
