Thomas L. McCommon
Thomas L. McCommon, 72, of Butler passed away Monday at his home. He was born July 5, 1946, in Butler, and was the son of the late Warren and Sylvia (McCollough) McCommon. Thomas retired from Castle Rubber after 25 years of service. He loved to cut his grass and enjoyed fishing. He was a mechanic who enjoyed tinkering and fixing his tractor. Above all, he was a family man, who enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Surviving are his daughter, Kayla Jean (Justin) McCommon of Butler; one son, Jacob (Maxine) McCommon of Butler; and his fiancée, Jackie Keefer of Butler; four stepchildren, Christina (Richard) Safrank, Heather (Carl) Keefer, Eugene (Raylene) Keefer and Andrew (Kayla) Kerr, all of Butler; one sister, Bonnie Manning of Erie; two brothers, Warren McCommon and David (Julie) McCommon, all of Butler; and his 22 grandchildren, Jaden, Nathan, Elizabeth, John, Colton, Haley, Austin, Mason, Landon, Bentley, Dalton, Braiden, Mike, Tori, Lilly, Lucas, Draven, Keegan, Kameron, Dekyn, Aza and Addy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Joel; two sisters; and one brother. McCOMMON - Friends of Thomas L. McCommon, who died Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
