Thelma M. Vorodi
Thelma M. Vorodi of Middletown passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Frey Village Assisted Living, Middletown. She was born on March 15, 1937 in Harrisburg, PA and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Olive Marie Motter. Thelma is survived by her husband of 63 years, William L. Vorodi; sons, William M. Vorodi, Scott D. Vorodi and wife Janeen; daughter Judy Vorodi and husband Rodney Tome; grandchildren, Zack, Michael Karissa and Tyler; brother, Paul Motter of Highspire; sisters, Elizabeth Motter Lightner of Highspire and Frances Motter Jeske of Merrill WI. She was preceded in death by sisters, Betty, Helen, June, Norma, Pauline; brothers, Carl, Elmer, Fred, Russel, and William. Thelma loved to sing and entertain. She started in high school with her friend Jill Holmes and were called the Oklahoma sweethearts. She started again in the late 70's singing with different country bands playing in many clubs in central PA. Her biggest award was becoming PA state champion Yodeler. A tribute to Thelma's life will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St. Middletown with the Pastor Jack Selcher officiating. There will be a viewing from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday prior to the service. The interment will take place on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
