In memory of
Terrance Wayne "Terry" Decker
1938 -2018 Terrance Wayne "Terry" Decker passed away in the comfort of his home on the morning of Friday, May 11, 2018. Terry was born on December 11, 1938 to Charles and Lura Decker in Rardin, IL. In 1940, his parents relocated their family of 5 children, Charles, Barbara, Patricia, Terry, and Ronald, to Pasadena, CA. Terry graduated from Downey High School, but not before meeting the love of his life and the woman who would become his wife for over 60 years. Freda was in his 9th grade Algebra class at South Jr. High where she sat across the room from him. It did not take long for them to attract each other's attention and never let go. They eventually married and had 4 beautiful children of their own, Terry Jr., Karen, Brenda and Randy. In 1970 the family opened a machine shop in Santa Fe Springs, CA making aircraft parts. In 1993 Terry moved the business to the Valencia Industrial Center where it still thrives today. Terry loved backpacking and camping with family at the beach, mountains or anywhere his camper, and eventually, motorhome would take him. He is survived by many who will dearly miss him including his wife Freda and two siblings, Patricia and Ronald; 4 children: Terry Jr., Karen, Brenda, Randy and spouses Kimberly, Mark, Glenn and Stacy; 7 grandchildren: Justin, Jonathan, Andrew, Glenn Jr., Brandon, Brian and Kristina; 7 great-grandchildren. A memorial will be held in Terry's honor at Eternal Valley Chapel of The Oaks, 23287 North Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. The viewing will be from 4:00-8:00pm Wednesday, May 16, 2018 and services will be held Thursday, May 17th at 12:00pm, with a graveside service to follow. A reception follows at his home in Saugus.
