PORTSMOUTH – Susan E. Pritchard, 58, of Portsmouth, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018 at the Hyder Hospice House in Dover. She was born on July 22, 1960 in Waukegan, Ill., to Melvin and Beatrice (Fricker) Pritchard. Susan was formerly employed at TD Bank in Portsmouth for over 26 years and after her retirement worked at Edward Jones, also in Portsmouth. She volunteered and served on the Board of Directors at Betty's Dream; she attended St. Theresa Church in Rye and was a member of the Kiwanis in Portsmouth. Her father, Melvin Pritchard, predeceased her. Besides her mother, Beatrice of Portsmouth, survivors include her siblings, James Pritchard and his wife, Laurie of Kittery, Maine; and Joanne P. Lee; nephew, James Pritchard and his wife, Rebecca and their children, Harrison and Easton Pritchard all of Epping; niece, Alaina Pritchard and her fiance', Nicholas Borsari of Middletown, Conn.; and niece, Hollie Gould of Lebanon, Maine; friends, Debra and Steven Farnham of Eliot, Maine and her beloved pets, her dog, Lilly and cat, Stuart. SERVICES: A time of visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home – Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad St., Portsmouth, followed by a procession to St. Theresa Church, 815 Central Road in Rye where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Betty's Dream – A Foundation for the Physically Handicapped, Inc., 75 Longmeadow Lane, Portsmouth, NH 03801-3157.
