Stephen J. Sandor BETHLEHEM Stephen J. Sandor, 75, of Bethlehem, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, in his home. Born on Jan. 4, 1943, he was the son of the late Stephen A. and Mary I. (Valli) Sandor. He was married to Nancy Jean (Kananen) Sandor for 40 years, until her death on June 14, 2017. Stephen worked and retired as an inspector from Bethlehem Steel. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Boxer (LPH-4). He was a member of the Hellertown Sportsman's Association. In his free time, he was an avid gardener, hunter and loved to travel. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Alissa Day, wife of Michael; his son, Jeremy Sandor and fiancee, Rhonda Phillips; grandchildren, Skye and Nevin, and great-grandson, Fynn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Sandor. A viewing will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
