Shirley Marlene Spence June 4, 1935 - May 10, 2019 OKLAHOMA CITY Shirley Marlene Spence, after graduating from Moore High School in 1953, worked in the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company accounting department for several years, eventually resigning to become a full-time homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother, and daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carroll Gene Spence; her parents, Arthur F. "Tom" and Eunice Gaston Wilkerson; and her brothers, Kenneth, Charles and Donald Wilkerson. She is survived by her sons, Larry and Ronald. She was extremely grateful to all the medical professionals who helped her over the past two years, especially the therapists who worked with her with great skill, dedication, and patience: Rob Morris, Carrie Gray, Tiffany Ellis, Marcus Mallard, and Madison Plunk. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at the John Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK, with burial at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
