Shirley Faye Carver Brummitt
Shirley Faye Carver Brummitt Gallatin - Age 82 of Gallatin, went to be with her Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus on February 10, 2019. Preceded in death by her husband, Cordell Hull Brummitt; parents, Herman & Mary Lee Carver; brother, Raymond Carver; sisters, Ruth Wilson & Mickey Andrews. Survived by loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, George & Nancy Hagemeyer; loving and devoted niece, Donna (Clark) McBroom; Brothers, Jerry "Buddy" (Belinda) Carver; Larry Carver; Sisters, Carol (Roy) Smith; Doris (Milton) Jolley; 3 wonderful grandsons, Jason (Stacey) Thomas, Justin (Melissa) Thomas, Todd (Brandi) Hagemeyer, many precious great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brummitt was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville and a devoted member of Sunshine Sunday School Class. She was employed by Bill Martin Foods for over fifty (50) years. She loved the grocery business and the people of East Nashville. She was a wonderful, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to so many. Visitation will be at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10am in our chapel. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: George Hagemeyer, Clark McBroom, Jason Thomas, Justin Thomas, Todd Hagemeyer, and Timmy Neese. Honorary Pallbearers: Buddy Carver, Larry Carver, Milton Jolley, Roy Smith, Sam Thomas, Jerry Tobitt and all the previous and current employees of Bill Martin Foods. The family gives heartfelt appreciation and love to three very special caregivers, Karrie Velez, Terri Murphy and Beth Smith. Also to The Veranda Ministries, Gallatin, TN and Mary Anne Oglesby-Sutherly, Director. Each had a huge, positive influence on Miss Shirley and her family during her courageous battle with dementia. Mrs. Brummitt was such a loving and giving person. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Veranda Ministries or do a random act of kindness for a stranger.
