Scott C. Palmer, 70, of Venice, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. He was born Dec. 27, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, to e Fred H. Palmer and Beverley Lange Palmer. Scott served in the United States Coast Guard and Coast Guard Reserve from 1965 to 1971. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1971, Miami in 1981, and relocated to Venice in 1992. He was a Sales Representative for A. Tarler, Inc. based in Pompano Beach, FL from 1996 to present--22 years. Scott was the loving husband of Jessica Lundequist Palmer for 37 years. He is survived by his son, Christopher (Missy) of Louisiana; sisters, Sandra Palmer, Jody Knight and Jan Reap; grandsons, Christopher (Taylor), Jeff (Brittany), and Charles; and five great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Venice, Florida Lodge 1308. He enjoyed traveling, reading, and having a beer at Bogeys. Services: Friends and family are welcome to attend a gathering from 2:00 PM with service at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 21 at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Ewing Chapel, 140 E. Venice Avenue, Venice, FL. Internment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery. Contributions: The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (online) or 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256, 877-832-6997.
