Rose L Carroll
Rose L. Carroll, 94, St. Louis, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Laclede Groves Nursing Center in St. Louis, MO. One of eight children, she was born March 28, 1924 in Phelps County, MO the daughter of the late William and Helen (Fauver) Carroll. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters Judith Stowers and her husband Gary of Centralia, MO and Susan Anderson of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren John Gilliland, Victoria Plendl, Seth Anderson, Jeannine O'Brien, Jacob Anderson and Aaron Anderson; eight great grandchildren; two sisters Viola Turner and Mary Sevick; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, two brothers William and August, three sisters Louise Stevens, Lucille Capps and June Owens, former husband Delmar (Red) Gollahon and one daughter Patricia Gilliland preceded her in death. Rose was a generous, hardworking, service- oriented friend to many and was an ardent volunteer for several organizations. She had a remarkable green thumb, was a talented and detailed seamstress, a patient disciplinarian, and had an extraordinary gift for cooking. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
