Rosamond Ball
Ball, Rosamond 1/13/1931 - 9/6/2019 Lowell age 88, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 6, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Harold Ball; parents, Maurice and Zelma Vroman; brothers, Leo Vroman, Albert Vroman, George Vroman; son-in-law Glenn Kenney; and grandson Joshua Ford. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cynthia Kenney-Ball, Colleen (Dar) LaLone, James (Kim) Ball, Gregory Ball, and Patrick Ball. She was also the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren, as well as 8 great-grandchildren. Rose was a floral designer throughout her life and started Ball Floral in Lowell. She also worked side by side with her husband Harold refurbishing houses into homes. In 1971 they opened Balls Softee Creme also in Lowell, known for its lavish flower gardens. Rose and Harold were both world travelers; they loved to go on cruises and would spend the winter months in Puerto Rico. The family would like to send a special thank you to everyone who helped care for Rose. Visitation will be held 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 9, at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331. A rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, with visitation one hour prior at St. Mary Catholic Church, 402 Amity St., Lowell, MI 49331. Rev. Aaron Ferris presiding. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Hospice, 2100 Raybrook SE Ste. 300, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 or Pink Arrow Pride, P.O. Box 246, Lowell, MI 49331.
