Rodney David Hart 1961 - 2018 ST. JOHNSVILLE, NY - Rodney David Hart peacefully passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2018 at the comfortable atmosphere of his home in the Town of Ephratah with his loving and devoted wife, Nade, at his side. He was also blessed with the surrounding of his beloved family. He spent his most cherished times with his family. He was 56. He was born on November 5, 1961 in Little Falls, NY, a son of the late David P. and Arlene L. (Herringshaw) Hart and was educated in St. Johnsville schools. His marriage to his sweetheart, Nade M. Capece, took place, May 14, 1983, in St. Johnsville. He was currently employed with Hart's paving. He was an avid hunter and just loved anything having to do with the outdoors. He excelled in trapping and shared a very special bond with his nephew, Wesley, when trapping. He also just loved to go turkey hunting with his niece, "Frogger". He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Nade; his son, Colin R. Hart and companion, Rebecca Roswell, of Oppenheim; and Colin's son, David Victor Hart; Rebecca's daughter, Keonie Lamphere and the couple's daughter, Maxine Hart; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Esther and Victor Capece, of St. Johnsville; his sister and brother-in-law, Arlene Broat and her husband, Gregory, of Oppenheim and their children, Wesley and Jessica Broat; his brother and sister-in-law, Timothy Hart and wife, Cindy, of Oppenheim and Cindy's children, Amanda Rawson, Breanna Handy and Forest Dunn; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Butch Capece and wife, Glenna, of St. Johnsville and Butch's daughter, Amber Sellers; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. He was predeceased by his parents, David and Arlene; and his beloved son, Raymond David Hart. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM from The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville, NY with Rev. Martin Glynn officiating. Burial will be in Michael Cemetery, Town of Ephratah, where a graveside service will be held. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the service from 11 AM until 1:00 PM. All memorial contributions may be made to the Ayers Animal Shelter or to the NRA. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. After Rod's son, Raymond, passed away, Rod and his wife, Nade started an "Adopt A Highway" program, in Ray's memory, which was so very important to them. The stretch of highway for trash pick-up encompassed an area from Oppenheim to Lassellsville. This was a great honor and a very special thank you is offered to all of the special friends who had helped along the way. Also, a special thank you to the first responders, the Sherriff's Department of Fulton County and the EMT's who fought so hard for Rod the evening he passed. Arrangements are with Harry and Kevin Enea and Martin Ciaccia (518) 568-2300. Online notes of sympathy may be delivered at www.eneafamily.com .
