Robert "Bobby" Salimeno
Robert Salimeno, known to his friends as Bobby, passed away on August 23rd. He was 81 years old. Born and raised in Westerly, RI, Bobby spent 6 years in the military as a Marine, during which he was deployed to Beirut, Lebanon. Bobby retired working for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. His favorite things in life were fishing (especially at the breachway in Misquamicut) collecting and restoring Volkswagon Bugs, and playing bass guitar which he did for decades in nightclubs and other venues though out New England. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Alida, his children Damian and Travis, his grandchildren Wylie, Tallulah and Aiden, as well as his extended family, Diane Randeau and David Stott. He will not be forgotten."
