In memory of
Robert NOTSON Robert Notson was born to Mildred and Edward Notson on Dec. 15, 1926 at Tonasket, WA. He graduated from high school before joining the Navy on Sept. 1944. After being honorably discharged on July 1946, he married his childhood sweetheart Barbara on Dec. 14, 1947. After graduating from Whitworth College in Spokane, Robert and Barbara moved to Seattle where his career with Boeing started. He was an active member of Riverton Heights Presbyterian Church for many years. He was also very active with CBMC, NAIM, Youth for Christ, Impact, and MAF. Robert could be found at any number of airports during any free time he had. He had a love of flying and could spend hours talking to other pilots and watching airplanes. September vacation time would find Robert with family and friends at the Reno National Air Races. He served as a docent at the Boeing Museum of Flight where he could share his excitement of flight with others. Robert passed away on May 10, 2011 and is preceded in death by his wife Barbara. He is survived by his wife Patricia, his five children Robert, Emily, Jean, Joyce, and Shirley, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his brother Bruce Notson. Services will be held at Foster Tukwila Presbyterian Church on May 14 at 2:00 pm. His body will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery.
