July 8, 1925 - October 15, 2018 TULSA Robert Carl Larson was born on July 8, 1925, in Oklahoma City, and died October 15, 2018, at his home in Tulsa surrounded by his family. He was the son of William H. and Hazel Larson, younger brother Billy Larson. During WWII, Bob enlisted in the Army and served with the 103rd Infantry Division in France and Germany. He met the love of his life, Mary Carolyn Cole, in Oklahoma City and they were married March, 1950. Bob graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1949 in Geology. He briefly worked for Conoco as a petroleum geologist before venturing out on his own. He was passionate about oil and gas exploration, fishing, his wife, Mary, tennis, art, and his friends and family.Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years Mary Larson; his brother Bill Larson; daughters Lyn Larson, Katherine Larson, Beth Larson, Carol Studenmund; six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert C. Larson Jr.A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on January 12 at Moore's Rosewood Chapel, 2570 S. Harvard, in Tulsa.
