Robert J. Scheufele
Robert J. Scheufele, 65, of Morse Hill Road, Newbury, N.H., passed away on Sept. 2, 2018, after a year-long battle with cancer. Bob graduated from Needham High School in 1971, and moved to Talkeetna, Alaska, in his early 20s, where he lived as a self-determined individualist, frontiersman, fur trapper, wilderness guide and carpenter. He loved all Boston sports teams, socializing with friends and caring for his sled dogs. He is the beloved son of Carol (Corr) Scheufele of Newbury, N.H., and Robert F. Scheufele (deceased); brother of Stephen and Maryann (Anderson) Scheufele of Plymouth, Mass., Karen (Scheufele) Blackman (deceased), Paul and Susan (Ellis) Scheufele of Weston, Conn., and Patricia Scheufele of Newbury, N.H. The family will hold visiting hours at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street in New London, N.H., on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, 330 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
