Robert George Hockett
HAVRE - Robert George Hockett, 83, of Havre, retired dean of the vo-tech division at Montana State University-Northern and farmer who served ice cream at every lutefisk dinner held at First Lutheran Church in Havre for more than 50 years and was a recipient of the Ag Leader of Year award in 2003, died of natural causes Thursday in Havre. Cremation has taken place, and his memorial service is 10 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church in Havre. He is survived by his wife Jessie (Gestring) Hockett; and five children Melanie Ruby of Helena, Lorrie Hockett of Havre, Jeffry Hockett of Havre, Kathie Kadri of Billings and Sherrie Hockett (Wayne) of Sunnyside, Wash.; brothers Roy Hockett of Helena and Eugene Hockett of Bozeman; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandsons.
