SLAVIN age 80, born July 14, 1937, passed away February 15, 1917. Robert Slavin, 79, of Mesa, AZ passed away on February 15th, 2017. Bob, the son of Louis and Frances Slavin was born on July 14, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio. Bob earned a degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Southern California in 1968 before settling in Arizona in 1970. Bob was a well-respected restauranteur, owning several restaurants in Tucson, Flagstaff and Scottsdale, Arizona. Bob was an avid golfer and spent most of his retirement on the golf course. He was a kind, gentle, loving son, father and brother. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for his family and friends. Bob is survived by his son, Roger Slavin of Reno, Nevada and a sister, Margaret Silverman of Mt. Prospect, Illinois. The family suggests donations be made to the Arizona Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
