Rita Toteda Yonkers - Rita (Felice) Toteda, age 87, of Yonkers, N.Y. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in Hollywood, Florida. Rita was born in Carolei, Italy on April10, 1932, immigrated to New York in 1952, and wed in1955. Rita was a devoted wife to Ernesto Toteda for 58 years. Family, specifically her children grandchildren and great-grand children, were her most prized possession and valued even more than her love for a good card game with family and friends. Her most precious gift to this world was welcoming family and friends with food and drink and laughter. She is survived by her children, Rose (Toteda) and Joseph Wyda , Marisa (Toteda) and Rocco Maio, Angelo Toteda and Miguel Rizzo, and Anthony and Debbie Toteda. She was blessed with five loving grandchildren, Joseph Ernest Wyda, Julia Rita Martin, Stephanie Alana Sullivan, George Ernest Maio and Vienna Genevieve Toteda and eight adoring great- grandchildren; Ryan, Tessa, Henry, and James Sullivan, Andrew, Grace, and Lila Wyda, and Olivia Maritn. Calling services will take place at Flower Funeral Home in Yonkers, N.Y. on Monday, April 22nd from 4 -8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. John's Church on Tuesday April 23rd at 10:45 a.m. Rita will be laid to rest with her husband at the Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations requested to Alzheimer's Association at alz.org .
