Richard Wayne Kaiser
Kaiser, Richard Wayne of Jackson, Michigan was called to his eternal home on Thursday, August 4, 2016, accepting the grace and love of his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born on November 25, 1926 in Lansing Michigan to William and Cecile (Fullerton) Kaiser. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Philip, by Ellen - his wife of 56 years, and by his son Gary. He is survived by Frances - his wife of nine years, his brother Randall, his daughters Julia and Bethany, his sons Ronald and Jeffrey, and Frances' sons, Michael and Eugene. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. Richard attended school in Lansing, graduating from Eastern High School in 1945, after which he enlisted in the US Army Air Force serving as a B29 engine mechanic during World War II. After leaving the service he worked as a manager for Swift & Co. and in other Meatpacking industry management positions, retiring in 1985. In 2007, he moved to Jackson, Michigan, and continued to pursue his passions for fishing, hunting, playing Euchre, buying antiques and collectibles and finding good deals on anything he purchased. He loved the "Michigan Outdoors", watching the Detroit Tigers and college sports, and enjoying the lives of his family. Since 2007, he has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jackson, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 7, from 24 and 68 PM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home, 204 N. Blackstone, Jackson, MI and on Monday, August 8 from 1:15 to 1:45 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 122 W. Wesley St. Jackson, MI followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Eric Ekong and Pastor Michael Hanson officiating. Richard will be interred at the Lyon Lake Cemetery in Calhoun County, MI on Monday at 5:00 PM. Instead of flowers, the family of Richard are asking for donations to Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Jackson, Michigan.
