Richard E. Turner LAWRENCEVILLE - Richard E. Turner, 74, of Lawrenceville, died Thursday at home, following a short battle with cancer. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, he had resided in Lawrenceville for 33 years. Richard retired in 2002 from GfK Market Measures (formerly Response Analysis Corporation) in Princeton as a research editor after 22 years of service. He also taught as an adjunct professor of English at Mercer County Community College and retired in 2010 after 20 years in the classroom. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Miami University in Oxford, OH, and was a member of the Miami University Alumni Association. He was a friend of Bill W's for nearly 30 years, and maintained "The Grammar Curmudgeon" website. He will be remembered for his love of words and his love of music. Son of the late Robert W. Turner Sr. and Adaline Lippincott Turner and brother of the late Robert W. Turner Jr. and Patricia Turner Yerkes Toscano, he is survived by his beloved wife, Grace Ellen Clark Turner; a daughter, Katherine Amanda Studey and her husband, David, of Phoenix, AZ; three grandsons, Christopher, Jeremy, and Matthew Studey, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville.
