Richard Diehl June 5, 1925 - Sept. 30, 2019 Richard Mathias Diehl, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2019, at the Stratford Beyer Park Retirement Home in Modesto, Calif., at the age of 94. Richard was born in Wenatchee, Wash., served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, attended Oregon State University and joined the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He married Dorothy L. Keister in 1949 and they had five children. He worked as a Salesman for Continental Can Co. (Crown Cork & Seal) for over 35 years. His favorite hobbies were golf and camping with his family at Lake Edison and at National Parks throughout the western U.S. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; and daughter, Teresa. He is survived by his sons, David, John, James; and daughter, Christine; along with seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Richard's Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 5105 S.W. Franklin Rd., Beaverton.
