Ray Grinnell, 47, of Mehoopany, passed away at his home after a battle with cancer. Born in Tunkhannock on Feb. 27, 1973, he is survived by his parents Merle L. and Sarah L. Hollister Grinnell. Ray loved farming and was a helper on a dairy farm in recent years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Ray attended the Mehoopany Baptist Church with his family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by brother Merle R. Grinnell; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Sarah D. Grinnell; grandparents: Ken and Ruth Hollister and Ethal Ada; and great grandparents, Fred and Madge Balliot. Ray's funeral service was held on Friday Jan. 15, from Mehoopany Baptist Church, 4301 PA-87, Mehoopany, Interment followed in Jersey Hill Cemetery, Auburn Township. A viewing was held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. Arrangements and care entrusted to Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
