In memory of
Ralph G. Degn
Ralph G. Degn October 16, 1940 - August 27, 2016 Ralph Gerdes Degn, 75, died peacefully at home, by the side of his wife, Mary Ann, on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016. Even though his leukemia came on fast and strong, he was blessed to be able to enjoy the company of his eight children and 38 grandchildren, share testimony and love with them, before he moved on into eternity. Ralph was born in Logan, Utah, on Oct. 16, 1940, to Wilford "Bennie" Degn and Iris Swapp. Ralph and Mary Ann were married June 8, 1967, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They raised their family in River Heights, Utah, until they found themselves empty nesters, and then they moved to the beautiful community of Wellsville. Ralph has brought smiles to thousands with his fireworks displays, magic shows, his zip lines and rope swings and his amazing talent on the piano. He also inspired and guided thousands through his missionary callings to his beloved country of Brazil. As he shares his testimony of Jesus Christ and His atonement, The Book of Mormon and the power of the priesthood, lives are changed. He will be missed, but he was excited for this new calling. In celebration of his life, we invite you to a viewing Friday, Sept. 3, at the Wellsville Stake Center (30 S. Center St.) from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. The family extends their love and gratitude to the many people who have served us this last month. Services are under the direction of Cache Valley Mortuary, (435) 787-8514, see full obituary and share condolences online at www.cvmortuary.com .
