Norval Booth
Norval Booth, age 72, of Lodi, died Saturday, February 22, 2003. He was born on February 20, 1931 at Washita, Arkansas, the son of Omary Booth and Allie Smith Booth. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Dana Winter. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a Purple Heart recipient. He retired from Mount Ida Footwear and was a member of the Community Bible Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Faye Booth of Lodi; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Lance and Nancy Booth, and Archie Booth all of Mount Ida; one daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Michael Bradford of Warren; one son-in-law, Gary Winter of Mount Ida; one step-son, Tracy Ledbetter of Lodi; one step-daughter, Staci Kersey of Arkadelphia; twenty-three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Norma Jo Stanley of Mount Ida. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2003 in the Muddy Creek Church of God near Story with the Revs. Roger Breshears, Paul Burke, and Gene Graves officiating. Interment will be in the Reed Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Honor Guard of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Post #2278, of Hot Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Sherleen Reed, Glen Irons, Allen Demby, Howard Mayberry, Hugh Demby, and Waldo Wilson.
