Sister Minnie L. Pierre
Sister Minnie L. Pierre was born April 23, 1937 to the late Mr. M.C. and Mrs. Joanna Homes Jackson in Tylertown, Mississippi. Minnie departed this life on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. She was a homekepper. Sister Minnie joined Mt. Hermon under the leadership of Bishop Sean Elder, now under the leadership of Pastor Darold A. Ingram, Jr. She was saved in 1984 after speaking in tongues for over an hour. She prayed for others to receive Christ. She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband, Charles Pierre; daughter Denise Jackson; her 3 sisters: Emma, Alean and Annie; 2 brothers: Larry and Murray; 2 brothers-in-law: James and Sal and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lena, Ruth and Mildred and brothers, Ray, Earl, and James. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 3512 US Hwy 90, Avondale, LA 70094. The viewing will begin at 9:00 am and the service will follow at 10:00 am. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Richardson Funeral Home of Jefferson, River Ridge, LA in charge of arrangements.
