Carol Chapman Barry Vine Valley/Middlesex - Carol Chapman Barry, age 82, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, while surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, George T. Barry; five children, Edward (Denise) Chapman, Michael Chapman, Catherine Cohen, Mary (Joseph) Decker and Linda (Patrick) Broderick; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Wendy, Brian, Jason, Jack, Laura, Clark, Natalie and Ellie; three great-grandchildren, Ryder, Ace and Quinn; George's children, Kim Shay (Ken Winburn), Denise (Joel) Sieber, Michelle (Jim) Burke, Diane (Clayton) Hoyt and Thomas (Davelle) Barry; George's grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five siblings, James (Kathleen) Denniston, Louise Patterson, Susan Modzel, George (Kathy) Denniston and Helen (Andy) Bills; brothers-in-law, Charles Sweeney and Larry Smith; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two siblings, Virginia Sweeney and Margaret Smith. Carol was a graduate of Pal-Mac High School, class of 1957 and attended SUNY Brockport. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at F.F. Thompson Hospital from 1983-2001. Carol enjoyed knitting, gardening, Canandaigua Lake and spending time with family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at The Pines, Emergency Department and 3 East at F.F. Thompson Hospital, for the excellent care she received. A life celebration will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Interment will be in Overackers Cemetery, Middlesex. Memorial contributions may be made to the F.F. Thompson Foundation for M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, 350 Parrish St., Canandaigua, NY 14424. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Canandaigua.
