Doris Jean (McCarty) Bassett
Bassett Doris served proudly as an Air Force wife for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, esp. her husband, children, and grandchildren. Anyone that knew her knew that she loved to go bowling, to Cripple Creek, and rooting for the Denver Broncos. She worked with children most of her adult life in daycare centers and even had one in her home. She will be remembered as a great friend, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. October 12, 1937 January 24, 2021 DORIS JEAN (MCCARTY) BASSETT Doris Jean Bassett, age 83, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, joined her husband in heaven (who preceded her in death in 2018), on January 24, 2021. Formerly of South Fork, Pennsylvania, Doris was born on October 12, 1937 to Oliver and Olive Mae McCarty who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Doris is survived by her daughter Tammy L Pfaff, son Jeffrey A Bassett, Granddaughters Christina M Pfaff (Colin J Alber), Stephanie N Pfaff and great granddaughter, Skylar L Pfaff, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. No services, but donations can be made in her memory to The American Cancer Society.
