Virginia Owen March 19, 1930 - February 12, 2021 Belton, Missouri - Virginia J. Owen, age 90, of Belton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2021. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 at St. Sabina Catholic Church 700 Trevis Ave., Belton, Missouri 64083. A funeral mass will be held following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Raytown, Missouri. Vicky was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 19, 1930 to Harry and Josephine Orwick and raised with four brothers, Jack, David, Jim, and Richard. In the fall of 1952 Vicky was joined in marriage with her late husband, Harry Owen on October 18th. Together they had three sons, Gary, Kevin, and Dan. In 1971 Vicky, along side her husband started Owen Lumber Company in Belton, Missouri. As a woman of Catholic faith, Vicky was a member of St. Sabina Catholic Church. Vicky was preceded in death by her loving husband of over fifty-seven years, Harry Owen; parents, Harry and Josephine Orwick; and three brothers, Jack, David, and Richard Orwick. She leaves behind her three loving sons, Gary Owen (Kelly), Kevin Owen (Debbie), and Dan Owen (Karen); brother, Jim Orwick; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Crossroads Hospice at 14310 E. 42nd St. S, Ste 600 Independence, Missouri 64055.
