Thelma B. Otto
Thelma B. Otto Sparks - Thelma B. Otto passed away December 15, 2020. She was born October 27, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Julia and Philip Meyer. Thelma began her career in elementary education in San Francisco, CA as a fifth grade teacher at Madison School in the early 1950s. She received her Elementary Administration Credential in 1962, and proudly served as Principal of Alamo School from 1968 to 1982. Thelma and 2nd husband, Bill Boyer, retired to Reno, NV where they enjoyed Welcome Wagon and Newcomers Club activities. She and 3rd husband, Richard C. Otto, were frequent attendees at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), now a part of UNR's Stanford Center for Aging in the School of Medicine. The Reno Neptune Society handled her cremation arrangements with her ashes to be scattered in San Francisco Bay. Donations in her memory may be made to the Nevada Humane Society.
