Christine Crudo
Crudo, Christine LATHAM Christine M. Kearney Crudo, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness. She went home to Heaven, reunited with Nicholas and Matty who are back in her arms. She was born in Troy on April 15, 1952, the daughter of the late Edmund J. Kearney II and Mae Coyne Kearney Bertsche. She was a 1971 graduate of Watervliet High School where she met her loving husband, Nicholas A. Crudo. They later wed in 1973 and began their wonderful journey together which blessed them with three children. Chris received her L.P.N. from Albany Medical Center and graduated from Southern Vermont College as a registered nurse. She was employed by St. Mary's Hospital in Troy for over 32 years as an R.N. in the hospital and in home care. She later was an R.N. at Van Rensselaer Manor for five years and served as the parish nurse at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church under Father Emery. Christine was the best wife, mom and grandmother anyone could ask for, always protecting, supporting and working hard for her family to ensure all their childhood dreams were met. She thrived in her role as a motherly figure to several of her in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and loved them all. Christine made all of the holidays special for her family with gifts, warmth and love. She was the beloved wife of Nicholas A. Crudo, together over 50 years; the best mother of David M. (Tina) Crudo of Niskayuna, Matthew S. (Tracy) Crudo of Delmar and the late Nicholas John Crudo; adored grandmother of Nicholas, Maeve, Isabella and the late Matthew "Matty" Peter Crudo; dear sister of Edmund J. (Toni) Kearney III of Ocala, Fla., Patricia Kearney of Troy and the late Carol (John) Lynch, Linda (late LeRoy) Bova and Michael Kearney; sister-in-law of Diane Alonge, Janice Crudo, Carol (Bernard) Valente and John Crudo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Her funeral Mass will be on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Watervliet. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 139 S.
