Dorothy June Antis
Antis, Dorothy June died peacefully on November 2, 2019 at the age of 94. Dorothy was born on June 8, 1925 at home to William and Jessie (Wilkinson} Antis in Detroit Michigan. Dorothy grew up in Detroit, graduated from Western High School in Detroit. Dorothy retired from Detroit Edison as a correspondence clerk in 1981. After her retirement she moved to her cottage on Highland Lake and then to Chelsea. Dorothy was a committed volunteer in many committees at the North Lake United Methodist Church where she was a devoted member for over 40 years. She also volunteered at Faith in Action. Dorothy enjoyed painting, doing craft work, playing piano and singing. She had a lifelong love of wild birds and enjoyed watching them at her bird feeder. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents. Dorothy is survived by her cousin Allan Bressler (Marj Mullen) and many dear friends. A memorial service will take place on Saturday November 9, 2019 at the North Lake United Methodist Church at 14111 North Territorial Road, Chelsea, Michigan at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Huron Valley Animal Shelter.
