ERNEST H. BRASS III
passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Euclid Hospital. Ernie was born at Grenier AFB, New Hampshire to the late Ernest H. Brass Jr. and Mary (Trafton) Walker Brass. Dearest brother of Rev. Mary Elizabeth Nau of Shaker Heights and Edward W. Brass of Papillion, Nebraska; loving uncle of Allison, Michael and Christopher Nau. Ernie graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleveland in 1967. He received a BA in Business and Economics from Bowling Green State University, an MA in Economics, and an MA in Economics/Management from Case Western Reserve University, and did Doctoral studies at Bradford University in England. Ernie worked for over 30 years in the financial planning field and was a Professor of Business Administration and Economics at several local colleges. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was active in many civic organizations in Lake County. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Playhouse Square Foundation or Project Hope. Funeral Service Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Saviour, 2537 Lee Rd., Cleveland Heights. Interment Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the SCHULTE AND MAHON- MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 5252 MAYFIELD ROAD, LYNDHURST (BETWEEN RICHMOND AND BRAINARD) FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25 FROM 2 TO 4 AND 5 TO 7 P.M.
