Brown, Helen 8/27/1923 - 10/6/2019 Kent City Helen Brown, age 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 6, 2019. She was born August 27, 1923 in Muskegon to George and Tillie Chyrowski. She married Lauren Brown in July of 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lauren on August 7, 1992; son, George on November 17, 2017; her parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister. She is survived by her sons, Jim and Kathy Brown, Kevin and Pam Brown; 3 grandchildren, Ashley and Mico Wells, Brianna and Justin Kruithoff, Chad Brown; great grandchildren, Kinsley and Cole Kruithoff, Maxton, Aviana, Braylen Wells; several nieces and nephews. As Helen had wished cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2:00 P.M. at the Hessel-Cheslek Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Taylor officiating. Inurnment of her cremains will be in Seaman Cemetery next to her husband. Friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 12:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 P.M.
