Robert (Bob) Puchyr
Robert (Bob) Puchyr Naples, FL - Robert Puchyr (Bob) has passed from this life into eternal life at age 83 in Naples, FL on 10/02/2019 after suffering a long illness. Son of Frank and Rita (Kraeger) Puchyr, Bob grew up in Rome, NY. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and served as an Alter boy for several years. Bob especially loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending summers in the Adirondacks. He was an avid runner and competed in numerous marathons throughout his life. In 1958, Bob joined the U.S. Army and served two years in the Military Police. During that time, he met his first wife, married in 1961, and were blessed with two daughters, Elizabeth (Beth) and Theresa. Relocating to Rochester, NY, Bob started his career with Eastman Kodak devoting 32 years until his retirement. In later years, Bob married his second wife, Diane Wright. Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousin. Survived by his current wife Diane, his daughters Beth Smith and Theresa Brooks, stepdaughters Denice Wright and Debbie (Jeff) McCabe, granddaughters, sisters Joan (Jack) Fragola and Karen (Frank) Costello and one brother Joseph Puchyr as well as many nieces and nephews. No prior calling hours. Family and friends are welcome to meet at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, for a service on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612 and/or the Alzheimer's Association.
