Kathryn DiMaria 'A woman of strong faith and devotion to family' Kathryn (Kitty) DiMaria, nee Raccuglia, passed away on Oct. 2, 2019. Kathryn was the beloved wife of Peter DiMaria, loving mother to William (MaryRose), Anne, Maria (George Veit) and her beloved late son, Robert, who was always in her heart. She was also grandmother to Krista (Matthew Citrolo), Michael, George Veit IV and Alyssa Anne Veit, as well as great-grandmother to Jackson and Eloise. Kathryn was devoted and dedicated to her family and many friends. Kathryn grew up in Brooklyn, graduated from Bay Ridge H.S. and spent most of her adult life residing there until moving to Staten Island over 25 years ago. She was an executive secretary at the prestigious Madison Avenue firm of Boyden Associates. Kathryn retired and formed an interest in caring for the elderly for over 20 years. She was the president of St. Ann's Golden Age Club and a member of Arrochar Friendship Club. Her strong faith and love of the Lord sustained her throughout her entire life. She was an active volunteer over the course of her life, be it the Girl Scouts or religious organizations. Visitation is Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2819 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 101 Cromwell Ave., Staten Island, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, she requested a donation be made in her name to her favorite charity - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
